Emmerdale Nicola King's exit 'sealed' after 24 years and fans are devastatedEmmerdale could be bidding farewell to a soap legend after more than two decades in the village

Emmerdale fans fear that legend Nicola King’s exit is just around the corner.

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) made her debut on the soap way back in 2011. And as the village busybody, Nicola quickly became a firm favourite with the show’s loyal legion of fans.

She has also played a part in a ton of big storylines. From her experience with physical and psychological trauma to her beloved romance with Jimmy King (Nick Miles), Nicola’s m time in the Dales has not been short of drama.

Especially at the moment, as this week on the soap, Nicola’s adopted son Carl King Jr got beaten up by Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) child Lucas while at school.

And spoilers for next week have revealed that Carl is interviewed by the police after an indecent image of Lucas’ sister Clemmie Reed is circulated online. Upon questioning by the authorities, Carl admits to sharing the photo.

But now, with more drama to come fans can’t help but think an exit could be on the cards for a King family member – and it’s not Carl Jr. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers reckon Nicola could end up in prison after “taking the blame” for Carl King Jr’s criminal activity.

Reacting to the new issue-led storyline, one person wrote: “I can see Nicola taking the blame for this [Carl sending the indecent image of Clemmie].” Someone else added: “Maybe but it could mean prison wouldn’t it?”

A third wrote: “I can see her lying and saying it was her.” Another heartbroken fan penned: “Don’t say that, I really like Nicola!” Echoing their thoughts, a fifth wrote: “I would be guuted.”
