Fans of Emmerdale have ‘worked out’ the true identity of Anya in a huge Dingle DNA twist.

The stowaway made her debut on the ITV soap this week when she was found in the back of one of Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) trucks, leaving him stunned.

Seeing how vulnerable and unwell she was, Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) demanded that Anya be brought back to their house, Mill Cottage, despite Caleb’s wishes.

Back at their home, and with Anya asleep on the sofa, Caleb shared his concerns with Ruby that if police find her, they will think he trafficked her into the country and he could get sent to prison.

But Ruby was not having it and remained focused on looking after Anya. Clearly traumatised, Anya struggled to open up to Ruby when she tried to get her to discuss what happened to her.

Ruby then enlisted the help of Doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) to do an examination on her. Liam warned Ruby of what she could be taking on by looking after Anya, and told her to speak to the authorities but Ruby refused to listen.

In Friday’s episode (October 24), Ruby found a photograph of a young girl in Anya’s belongings. Anya revealed that she was her daughter, who is being looked after by her mum.

Caleb again expressed his concerns about the whole situation but Ruby told him Anya was not going anywhere until she knew she was ok and had somewhere to live, refusing to throw her out on the street.

Later on though, alone with Anya, Caleb handed her £2,000 in cash so she could go to London, telling her the money would help tide her over until she figured things out. Although not wanting to leave, Anya agreed and took the cash.
